The Mars Society is the world’s largest and most influential space advocacy organization dedicated to the human exploration and settlement of the planet Mars. Established by Dr. Robert Zubrin and others in 1998, the group works to educate the public, the media and the government on the benefits of exploring Mars and creating a permanent human presence on the Red Planet. Marscoin Organization is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 by the Marscoin fouding father Mr. Lennart Lopin with the goal of maintaining and developing the Marscoin blockchain in order to prepare it to be the cryptocurrency of the planet Mars.

The organization oversees major Marscoin projects as for example: Marscoin republic, which is an open coded platform developt as a toolkit for the first Mars settlements providing all vital financial and social functions;

It will as well in cooperation with The Mars Society perform multiple Marscoin blockchain experiments under real Mars conditions at the Mars Desert Research Station proving its real case utility.
